Social Skill & Friendship Clubs

Through a combination of skill building activities and fun, children and young adults work on their social skills and find friends.

Peer Connect: A social group for people with Asperger’s, Autism and other social skills challenges for ages 14 to 30 years. Held at various locations in the Willmar area, the groups meets ten times a year on a monthly basis. Activities include board and video games, bowling, volunteering and fun, holiday adventures.

Peer Connect Coordinator:

Becky Sook, sookbecky@gmail.com

Lego Club: This Lego Friendship Club works with children ages 7-12 years with Asperger’s/Autism. Working in a small group, students learn about ASD, practice social skills and meet friends. Parents gather in a separate area to share ideas, discuss course-related materials and support one another.
