Our Story

The Resource Center Program

Founded in 2008, The Resource Center Program is part of WCI’s service offering to families and was created by caring parents raising children with a disability. The program, known as TRCP, provides programming in the counties of Kandiyohi, Meeker, Renville and Swift and is a regional resource for west central Minnesota. Partnerships with local, regional and statewide health and human service organizations, nonprofit agencies, medical professionals and educators strengthen its outreach to families and share TRCP’s goals of education, support and connection. TRCP is guided by its own 10-member advisory board and is a grant and locally funded program.

West Central Minnesota families will be empowered to see their loved ones with disabilities supported and engaged in our community.

The Resource Center Program (TRCP), as a program of WCI, educates, supports, and connects individuals with disabilities and their families to live better lives.

We believe all people and situations are unique.

We recognize having a family member with a disability presents challenges.

We believe supporting families will result in a better life for all people with disabilities.

We believe in the importance of personal contact and connection with others.
